Re: TG 13591

Bunch of hits logged. Not listening. :(
~~~
RIDs 18921xx and 18922xx
I wonder if this could be Westlake PD testing as another user noted. The RIDs don't match any existing agency AFAIK. I heard only bits of transmission and couldn't ID who they were. A fair number of hits Apr 23rd.
Well I definitely heard Chagrin dispatch on 14470 and definitely did not hear Chagrin dispatch on 14492 during the time period 3:28 thru 6:49. I don't know why that happened.. For some reason they may have changed TGs temporarily. I would think more people could confirm that. I unlocked 70 and 92 and will listen today, but so far nothing on either 14470.or 14492 (I just started listening/logging at 0913)..
~~~

OK I can confirm 14492 is active at 0930 and nothing on 14470. Must have been an alternate TG for some reason.

Chagrin Valley Dispatch uses both 14492 and 14470 for police dispatch, often the two TG's are patched together when traffic is light or there are not enough dispatchers on duty to work both TG's separately.

Various scanner models handle patched talkgroups differently, some work fine and others have problems: talkgroup-patches-motorola-p25-systems

After reading further posts concerning this, Westlake will be on the same system as Rocky River PD which is IP if I read correctly.

So are certain cities on 70 and others on 92? I'm not clear why they have two TGs for dispatch. Also 14470 is not in the RRDB - should it not be?

I haven't listened much to Chagrin since they left lo-band. :)

From April 1, 2014 to April 24, 2014 I have recorded on my PSR 500 1330 hits on Chagrin TG 14492 and 3 hits on 14470. Apparently for the most part the PSR 500 is only showing 14492.

I have 55 14470 hits on the 21st during a three hour period, never before and never since. I scan MARCS IP in search mode so I can see new TGs. I normally have 14492 locked out. BTW when I was listening to 14470 and 14492 it was on two separate receivers. Only 14470 was active.

Interesting....

Ed, that is really strange. We will have to keep watching that. As Eric, who would know, the patching together and our different locations and radios must have something to do with me not hearing much of 14470. My 3 hits were on Wed.

Marion site, My Unitrunker has logged 185 hits on 53106 since 04/22/2014. The traffic I heard on the HP1 was also a youth facility.

OK. Sometimes I'm not paying strict attention to coordinate the log with what I am hearing.

There seems to be a lot of TGs with 90+ RIDs popping up.

MARCS IP UID's

Since logging MARCS IP I have noticed it doesn't show a unique ID for each radio transmitting like it did on regular MARCS, just wondering why it doesn't.

Really??? I get radio id's on my scanner (for the vast majority) when monitoring MARCS-IP. But, there are times when an id doesn't appear.

Maybe be a reception issue. LSM?

TG 14489 with RIDs 1891113, 1891152, and 1891153.

14489 is being used this morning in what clearly is some type of traffic detail. The units using the radio give the color and description of the last car that came by them so the officer on the other end knows it is now safe to send traffic the opposite way. This is very common in construction sites where a road is temporarily turned into one lane.

Yep that's what it sounded like...but who belongs to it. That's why I included the RIDs so maybe someone who listens to PDs can match it up. I mostly listen to FDs not PDs (unless something big is happening:)

Ed...are you also hearing this traffic on TG 13617? The radio ID is 1892450. Right now it is mostly an open mic with what sounds to be radio techs discussing options in the CPS. Maybe Westlake getting their radios set up?
