I don't believe that is Solon Service. I know there are 3 talkgroups designated as Chagrin Valley Police "TAC" groups that any police department in the Valley could use. Since Solon received the radios with the Valley grant, the PD can use them. I can guarantee you though, that a traffic direction detail is not Solon PD, today.When i get a chance I'll take my radio home and key up on those groups then submit the data. Also, there's been discussion as to why Chagrin is using two talkgroups fro dispatch. Soon they will become West Dispatch and East Dispatch. I'm not sure what departments will be on what, but West will be, I believe, North Randall, Highland Hills, Orange , and Woodemere, then the rest of the valley on the East group. I know that is going live in May, don't know date. Hope this helps.

An update on TG 14489. There was a reference specific to Rt 87 and River Road. Also discussed open manhole and directing traffic East and West on Rt 87 at River. That makes it Moreland Hills. So this TG is going to be one of Chagrin Dispatch alt TG or Tac Group.

More than likely it's one of those three TGs labeled Chagrin PD TAC 1-3 in our radios. Like i said, when I get time, I will key up and check the id's on a scanner. They're basically used for anything in the area that different valley agencies might be doing. We used one, one time, for a OVI checkpoint that had multiple officers from those communities, traffic details might have two off duty guys from different departments, and from what I understand they are used at larger events like Blssom Time in May.

I believe Unit6817 and Swipesy are correct. After listening for 2 hours this morning, I can say the traffic detail is definitely in Moreland Hills. The streets mentioned were 87, Farwood, Rydal Wood, Woodburn and Windrush.

Thanks to Unit6817 for all the good info on the upcoming TG changes!

Chagrin Valley Dispatch

..... Soon they will become West Dispatch and East Dispatch. Looks like this is activated today. I haven't paid attention to what is east or what is west but I'm sure Unit6817 will be able to confirm this... :)

It wouldn't shock me if 28503 ended up being for the SO and all of the local agencies it dispatches, but in any case Pataskala is the only user as of right now.

This is what ended up happening. 28503 is now being used to dispatch the Licking County Sheriff's Office (and Pataskala PD). I don't think any of the village police departments (Hebron, Buckeye Lake, etc.) are using it, though. They're still on 155.415. I was looking through one of their council's minutes recently and it didn't sound like they were going to be able to switch any time soon.

Cuyahoga/Chagrin unit numbers

Hello,

I have been trying to compile a list of which departments are using what channel as it pertains to the new Chagrin Dispatch Center. So far I have a great list with unit numbers and radio ID's for the East and West talk groups.

What I need is a list of what unit numbers belong to what agencies in this area. A few are listed in the DB, but that is only a start. If someone can give me a full list I can determine and submit the proper agencies on the proper channels.

Do you mean this from the wiki bottom of the page: Unit Numbers

Chagrin/Southeast Region Cuyahoga County (OH) - The RadioReference Wiki

Or are you talking about the actual radio ID numbers?

~~~
From a VERY OLD LIST:
CHAGRIN FALLS 2400
CHAGRN FALLS TWP 2500
GATES MILLS 3500
HUNTING VALLEY 3800
MORELAND HILLS 4900
SOLON 6800
WOODMERE 7900
BAINBRIDGE TWP 8400
SOUTH RUSSELL 8?00
Some are duplicates, some are missing, and some have changed - Solon fer example...
I've been getting a lot of traffic this week on 14470 off the Cuyahoga Co site. IDs are in the 18xxxx range. I think I've got it narrowed down based on traffic this last 30 minutes.
PD traffic on 14470 requested FD for evaluation and transport. They mentioned to go to cottage 4. The next traffic was Chagrin Dispatch sending medic/engine to cottage 4. Most of the units responded with numbers I don't know, being in SE Akron & getting Cuyahoga county for the first time (thanks MARCS-IP!). The only unit that gave a name was "Highland Hills Engine 1".
Again, not familiar with Cuyahoga County. Could 14470 be Highland Hills PD?
We believe 14470 is Chagrin dispatch east and 14492 is Chagrin dispatch west. It hasn't been determined yet who is on what. Several members here are working on it.
I really don't have time to sit and listen, but I am getting the impression that Chagrin PD Dispatch West is 14470 and East is 14492 judging by cities car numbers I have happened to hear on each TG. Anyone else confirm this???
