I just uploaded identical databases from RR to my bc996 and bc996xt. I am hearing the MARCS frequencies on the XT but not to 996. Am I doing something wrong, or is the 996 not capable of picking up MARCS?

Sometimes I have problems with my BCD996T locking in on 800HMz MARCS talkgroups. Usually it works fine, but occasionally I see a talkgroup name flash by during a scan without stopping on the group. I don't have this issue with my BCD396XT. The MARCS tower I monitor is line-of-sight from here.

Custom Tables?

With Old MARCS (800 Mhz) make sure your custom tables for rebanding are correct.

Wouldn't the custom tables for rebanding be included when I downloaded the info from Radio Reference?
Or do i need to get the book "Custom tables for rebanding for Dummies"?

Make sure your firmware is current. If not it will not track rebanded frequencies correctly.

I still must be doing something wrong

Here is a screen capture of my bcd996t. I am trying to at least hear the local Ohio Highway Patrol on Marcs. Can anyone tell me what settings are wrong?
