MARCS site down

Is it just me, or is site 259 (Deshler) not functioning? I don't hear a control channel anymore.

Working just fine for me.

edit: well I should say I am getting the control channel just fine.

Yup seems to be working just fine. HANCO and Putnum is coming in loud and clear on 259.

I am getting site 258 and 261, but 259 is not working. It is normally loud. 868.86250MHz is not working.

Again, it is working just fine for me. As I type this P32 is coming through loud and clear. And yes, it is 868.8625.

I will add that I am receiving on both my 2096 (scantenna) and my 396 (RS800).

Odd I can pick up Neapolis, which is 40 miles away but cannot pick up Belmore, which is 5.

Do you by chance only have 868.86250 programmed in? If so you may want the alternate control channels.

Yes, it is programmed in. I am picking up everything fine on 867.6875, but that is site 258

Since I see your Jpg saying it's a BCD396, is it stopping on a closer or stronger Control Channel.
This scanner stops and remains on the first CC it receives. Once and if it loses that one, will it search for another.

I keep each site close by me programmed separately. Only in my traveling files like for I-71 do I program all the CC's in the same "system"

I am glad you noticed that. I had site 258's control channel locked out until I could no longer recieve 259s.

867.6875MHz is normally locked out.

Um, yea not only can my scanner not pick it up, not one of our 8 portables will affiliate with it. The problem is not me. OSP mentioned it was down Saturday night. My scanner is programmed correctly, OSP is having problems, not one of our XTS5000s will affiliate, but the problem is on my end? Do you know what sounds more likely then the site not being down? You are listening to site 203, not 259.

Sorry to say but I am listening to site 259, I can not get site 203 from where I am at. I wasn't trying to argue with you, I was just telling you that site 259 is/was working just fine from where I sit.

I checked this with an XTS2500, and yet again I am unable to affiliate with site 259. This is in Ottawa... Are they using omnidirectional antennas?

I hate to say it again but its working just fine from where I sit using a RS800 on my 396 and scantenna on my 2096.

It works fine in Findlay, where you are at. It works fine in Kalida. It does not work in Ottawa.
