I'm kind of having a hard time understanding MARCS. Is Lucas County Sheriff going to go on with the MARCS system? And if so will it be a totally different system or with Post 48 as well? Wondering if all county comms. are going to be on the same system. Or if LCS on one, Fire on another etc. Does anyone have the talkgroups for Lucas County yet if so... please post, I believe TCI is operating on the system. I programmed it in my analog scanner (couldn't hear it obviously) but the talkgroup of TCI kept going on. Thanks in advance.

" Is Lucas County Sheriff going to go on with the MARCS system?"

No. As we told you in the other thread you asked this question at, Lucas Co is in the proposal process for a county-wide system.

"Or if LCS on one, Fire on another etc."

No. One system to serve Lucas County public safety.

"Does anyone have the talkgroups for Lucas County yet"

Listed in the RR database.

Sorry, guess I misread it... thank you. Will a PRO-96 be capable of monitoring this system? Also, it's not an issue of the public listening in they want to stop, right? It's just the new age radio system? Cause I know they do a Santa BOL (Be on lookout), I don't know if Lucas County uses that abbrev. Monroe County did, anyhow they wish everyone listening a Merry Chistmas, so I don't think they mind, unless you use it for criminal activity obviously. Right?

It's still early in the process - not til they decide on a system will we know (odds are good.) I would imagine every public safety agency in the county will be on it.

I'm not sure I understand, the public can listen in on a trunked system just as easily as they can a non-trunked.

Also, when will OSP be moving? They're currently still on 44/45 MHz
OSP will be moving to MARCS within the next year or so if not sooner.
