Marine 16 and 22 are rebroadcasted on NYC Interoperable Communications Network (NYCICN) If your in the NYC Metro area and have a radio that can doP-25 phase II TRS this is a good site to listen to. It picks up everything in the NYC area on 16 and 22A and rebroadcasts it, the reception from the marine radio band is good. Besides sector NY, it gets sector Long Island sound and sector Delaware Bay and most of the vessels. I haven't been listening that long so there may be more that it picks up. I only put in the UHF Simulcast system and the Marine TG. If I hear anything else on it I will post it here.

Back when I was a CCGD3 Office of Communications. a request came from NYC to utilize a patch from the CG's repeater for the benefit of the Marine division of the NYPD and the NYFD. What NY ever did with that is lost back in 84 year old fog. At the time CCGD3 was located on Governor's Island. They also used a patch from our equipment on top of one of the bldgs lost in 9/11.

I apologize for the abbreviations. CCGD3 is Commander Coast Guard District Three. CCGD3 was in charge of all CG units from the tip of northern Long Island to Lewes, DE.

USCG also had a repeater for CH 16 in the 171 MHz range (I forget the actual freq) on the Delaware Memorial Bridge between NJ and DE (Route 295). Always kept an ear on that one.

I don't know if that is still up. At the time VHF comms were very poor in the upper bay and lower end of the Del river. The Pilot's association also had one for chnl 14VHF. The improvements in the CG's VHF program which added remote antennas took care of that comms problem. Some of the antennas were remoted to Group Cape May and Base Glou now Sector Phila.

I have not heard the CH 16 repeater for years. As you indicate - no longer required due to improvements. I do hear the Maritime Exchange on Channel 14 (which is probably on the bridge) since the signal is fairly strong.

Trunking system here has two dedicated talk groups for re-broadcasting Marine ch. 16 and ch. 12 (So Cal San Diego County).

Not sure where the receiver is located but it seems to have good reception well north as well as local. Think it is in Oceanside in north San Diego County as it seems to serve the Oceanside Harber mainly.
