I've been hearing what sounds like construction traffic on this frequency lately, in the Canton area. Can anyone else punch this in and see what they can make of it? Basic searches all come up with this being in the Marine allocations, but it is most definitely not marine traffic I am copying. I275 is under construction, I copy traffic in this area to the affect of trucks getting loaded and other misc stuff like moving a load of bentonite. By the time I am out of the area, I no longer copy much so I am assuming couple/few watt simplex operations. Possible mid range power mobile as I have lowered the squelch and can hear some traffic in the static as I get closer to home in Ypsilanti.

Would not be the first time, nor the last that someone used a marine radio for Non Maritime purposes

I figured as much. Partly posted up in case anyone wanted to listen in on some interesting stuff on a random freq.

It's a 50/50 guess whether its some CCR's or someone got a deal on a bunch of marine rigs and threw them in the trucks...

I can hear them talking, and it's construction related. They were talking about moving traffic cones, and orange barrels by the rest area. Also, someone has some ice cold drinks in the cooler as well.

A lot of portable radio traffic, and portable-to-truck radio traffic. The trucks are full-scale on the S-Meter, and they are dropping loads of bentonite.
