Would like to find out the VHF Marine freq (s) used by the C & D Canal authorities in the control of Freighters that transit the Canal.

Also - What Marine Freq(s) are used by the Pilots at Cape Henlopen to contact freighters as they enter Delaware Bay ?

To answer GeneB's original request, the C&D Canal Dispatcher located in Chesapeake City, MD at the Army Corps site uses marine vhf channel 13 (156.650 mhz) to coordinate ship traffic.

Traffic entering the canal from both ends are monitored by CCTV. Town Point on the Elk River is the Western end and Reedy Point on the Delaware River is the Eastern end.

You will also hear the railroad bridge operator advising canal traffic of an impending bridge lowering for train traffic.

'Hey' did list channel 13 among several he submitted, but did not tie it directly to the C&D canal.

Hope that helps you GeneB.
