I have two questions. I need some info I'm moving to Marion from Hamilton in October and I want to know if Marion County is digital or just trunking, and is the county sheriff and Marion Police fully encrypted like Hamilton and Butler County, and is Marion city digital too?
1. The database is current.
2. Nobody uses trunking except OSP and the slammer. There is an LTR system but little or no use has been noted nor will there probably ever be.
3. Other than MARCS, digital and encryption are unheard of unless one or two agencies are using it without anyone having found out about it.
4. You could use a simple, no frills analog-only scanner and monitor virtually everything you need to hear other than MARCS.
