Marion County Sheriff Shots Fired Officer Down

Just heard an MCSO deputy saying shots fired and he is hit...now saying suspect is down.

Now MCSO challenging possible second suspect. This is at either a christmas tree lot or a tree farm.

This is in Silverton. Just heard MCSO dispatch advise that Salem PD had their armor rolling. LE now in a standoff with a suspect.

Comms occuring on MCSO 1, OSP Salem, Salem PD 1, and MC Fire North 7. Apparently there is only one suspect, he is shot but refusing to give himself up. Medical requesting LifeFlight for the officer and second LifeFlight for standby for the suspect.

LifeFlight is grounded and not responding. It is in a Christmas Tree field and so the armored LAV can't be used so SWAT will have to use shields.

Apparently it was a car chase. I never heard that part, I literally turned my scanner on and heard shots fired.
