IDPS is a pure P25 simulcast system. System 1/10 is Marion County public safety. System 2/20 is Marion County Government. 3 is Hamilton County. 4 is Madison County. Not type 2. True P25.

I think Unication does a great job with their G4 and G5 pagers. They do seem to perform well with simulcast systems. However, they are intended as pagers, not scanners. While they have a lot of programming flexibility, they don't have the operating flexibility that a scanner has. HOLD and AVOID are features that are being tested in beta software, but the public release doesn't have those features yet.

I have a Unication G4. I also recently bought a Uniden SDS100. It also performs well with simulcast systems and it has more operating flexibility than the G4. I bought my SDS100 from Remtronix as a factory refurbished unit for noticeably less money than a new one.

yeah it is definitely one of many tools, I love my SDS200 as well

Do you happen to have a file you could share for the G4 . Just Fire and EMS? Going to have it programed professionally Thursday...... or could you do it?

The Unication pps is not that hard to understand. Nowhere as complex as most radio CPS. Though MotoTRBO CPS is not to hard.

not me that's for sure, I used to as a kid for the local radio shack in the 80's they would call me lol
I can probably whip something up but I would need to know exactly which G4 model it is (I should charge a sack of white castles lol

No one local got a guy out of Grand Rapids. Did it for me the first time with my previous counties in it.....
