Well I was hoping to get on Fairfield's S.O. for K-9 but I recently heard some bad news. There's not much going on around here anymore and I'd like a change of scenery. Plus it's cool to be able to hear Columbus!

If my city wasn't so politically screwed up, we could use a K-9 back here. Our K-9 officer is out indefinately due to an injury he got while assisting with a foot pursuit. There are quite a few dogs in this area. However, the powers that be within each agency never have coordinate with other local agencies to have 24 hour coverage by one agency or another.

We recently had a pursuit end in our city, the perps bailed and started running. nobody had their dog working. We have atleast 5 dogs in neighboring communites. None of them think to have any dog working the graveyard shift when they are requested more often.

I know the feeling. After having one, I'd rather have a dog than a gun. I can't believe how scared people are of a dog over a sidearm. I was considering OSP, but I really have my heart on K-9 so if the cental Ohio area doesn't have anything to offer then I'll probably go for it or ODOT.

Fairfield is a nice area but they have ZERO money, they have so little in fact during the 3.25/gallon gas price the deputies were told to park the car for 15 minutes an hour and turn the car off to save gas.
