The MARTA trunked system has gone quiet. I've programmed every individual frequency listed in the database (not just the control channels) and I still get nothing. Anyone know what's going on?

There is supposed to be a search going on for a missing 5 year old at Five Points so it would be nice to monitor. I've never had any previous trouble receiving MARTA.

They could have either rebanded to lower 850 frequencies or possibly you may want to check your control channels to make sure you are receiving it.

Fortunately, GA
quick ULS search shows this:
ULS License - PubSafty/SpecEmer/PubSaftyNtlPlan,806-817/851-862MHz,Conv License - WQCN601 - METROPOLITAN ATLANTA RAPID TRANSIT AUTHORITY - Administration

Looks like they indeed completed rebanding recently. Guess the database should be updated to reflect this (ahem!)

This puts them smack dab in the middle of Nexhell frequencies, and the Chattanoga system.
Well, put the new frequencies into the 197. I'm getting CC signals, but no sysid. Has anyone successfully started monitoring MARTA?

I have found the new system, the callsign is WQBZ553, not the one posted earlier.

The system has been rebanded. The band plan is the same and it is still an analog system with the exception of the PD, which is P25 in the clear. I'm currently monitoring a control channel of 853.6550.

Got it up and running now:) Now if I could understand how Unitrunker works, I'll get the rest of the info.

SIUDUDE - Unless I'm doing something wrong, the FCC Database doesn't have a record of the call sign you listed (WQBZ553). Could you verify?

SiuDude - my apologies. When I entered the call sign you provided and searched for it (several times), the database said it didn't exist. However, when I searched for all the licenses for MARTA (spelled out), it was included. MY APOLOGIES.
