Martinez Fire Testing

Friday afternoon I caught martinez fire department testing portable radios on 154.085. This is the old volunteer frequency and I also heard them call it channel 3 several times. Anyone else catch this?

Is 154.085 not in use anymore for West side of the county? I haven't heard any activity on it in a long time.

It used to be the appling volunteer fire frequency but now that martinez fire has taken over all of the countys fire protection, this is the first I have heard it in use since the changeover. I didnt want to send in a change to the database until I could either hear more use on it or if someone else could verify the change. I know a guy who just started working for martinez fire if I could just run into him somewhere Im sure he would know what the deal is. If I find anything out I will repost.

Ok, I found out today that the frequency is licensed to martinez fire and that it will be used as a primary channel and called channel 3 out in the rural areas of the county only. They will still use primary channel 1 in the martinez-evans areas.
