As was said earlier, not a lot of activity happened on that frequency before First but I remember both in the clear and scrambled stuff. We are talking 39 mz stuff here.

I would be very surprised if clear transmissions continue on the tac channel if it is strapped encrypted on First.

Pretty strange to patch an encrypted channel on First to a retransmission in the clear.

Either a rare clear transmission on tac, which I doubt, or mistake on AACO?

Have to give a listen.

I just set up some voice VCOs on Unitrunker 2, and the MSP TAC channel TG is transmitting in the clear. Sounds good.

For some reason yesterday, they changed the patch from an analog (6544) talkgroup to a digital (18832) talkgroup) on the Anne Arundel County System. They are only patching over the main Glen Burnie/Annapolis FIRST talkgroup not the Tac or CID channel.

So the old digital TAC TG is now the new digital primary TG?

FYI - if anyone hears tones on Talbot 11511 it's just a temporary situation. DES are using one of their tgids to set up and test P25T paging, which is due to roll out in the county some time over the next few weeks. Not sure what the permanent tgid is going to be yet.

The Cecil Simulcast site / cell has moved to Zone 3.

As previously planned, the Cecil Simulcast cell / site has moved to the Eastern Shore zone (Zone 3,) mainly to balance system resources. The new site number is 03-014. Site frequencies remain the same, as does the site NAC.

The Cecilton ASR (site 03-013) is still not on the air, but is advertised as a peer on the Kent Simulcast site.

Thanks for the update. I will have to update my G4. I noticed a few times recently I couldn't get the Cecil Site from my location and that must be the reason.

Getting closer to Cecil County switching over to FiRST!

Cecil Site is now reporting the Cecilton ASR is online. 771.65625 IDK??
Sites can advertise adjacent sites that are not on the air yet (the Anne Arundel site reports the PG Simulcast site as a peer, but it's not operational.) You have to check if something is actually transmitting on the frequency. On Sunday, there was nothing on 771.65625, but it's possible that they've brought the site online in the meantime.

Am not getting any CC from north of the Mason Dixon line.
Was reporting isolated prior to that time, and appears to be staying online since that time.

I'm unfamiliar with DSD+ - where did it pick up the site name from? Did you program in "Cecilton ASR" somewhere? What does ISOLATED mean in DSD speak? Unitrunker 2 only reports the site number and the channel number (03-013 and 01-1544.) The user - or the RRDB - fills in the site and TG names and labels.

DSD+ has a site file that is filled out by the user, if desired. Along with a Radio, Group and Network files as well..
Isolated (Red) means the site is on the system but not accepting traffic, (and may be offline) When it turns Blue/Green it's online/active. You can see a Red message in the screen shot (in the prior post) of the ID being refused, that's been going on for at least 2 days about every 3-7 seconds.. But the Cecilton site was Red just like that before reporting active and turning the current color..

FIRST from my site file looks like this.. Only have the sites I'd likely RX. So the names are user managed.. I've just not added all the sites for FIRST (yet)

P25, BEE00.4A2, 1.1, "Baltimore"
P25, BEE00.4A2, 1.2, "Anne Arundel"
P25, BEE00.4A2, 1.3, "Harford"
P25, BEE00.4A2, 1.4, "Cecil (Old Site 04/21/2019 switch to 3.14)"
P25, BEE00.4A2, 1.5, "Howard"
P25, BEE00.4A2, 1.6, "Baltimore Harbor Tunnels"
P25, BEE00.4A2, 1.7, "Towson"
P25, BEE00.4A2, 1.8, "Conowingo"
P25, BEE00.4A2, 1.12, "Lineboro ASR"
P25, BEE00.4A2, 1.13, "Westminster ASR"
P25, BEE00.4A2, 1.29, "Baltimore Central Booking"
P25, BEE00.4A2, 3.7, "Kent"
P25, BEE00.4A2, 3.9, "Queen Anne's"
P25, BEE00.4A2, 3.11, "Matapeake"
P25, BEE00.4A2, 3.13, "Cecilton ASR"
P25, BEE00.4A2, 3.14, "Cecil"

The Network, Groups, & Radio files are managed the same way..
I hope that answered your question.. :)
IDK if this might help a little..

Curiosity got the better of me, so on my way from Baltimore to Easton using the northern route, I checked in on the Cecilton ASR. It is still not transmitting a control channel, although today UT2 reports its status as Active and Valid. On Sunday, its status was just Valid.

Was passing through Talbot today. Noticed tones on 11517. Radio ID was previously logged as "Talbot Center."
