Also tones are back too. Of course a few months ago when they first switched over there was tones for a few weeks, then they quit toning out over FiRST. The 2-tone page over FiRST for Friendsville Fire was wrong, I guess 346.7 wasn't supported by the AMBE codec from what I was told.

Side note, I seen a RID of 51070 affiliate with GR Fire Tac 5 during a pavilion fire at the Finzel Town Park. Some out of state radio. There were out of state FDs called in.

51070 is a Somerset County, PA radio (Addison VFD, Station 613). Some of our southern departments had their radios flashed for TDMA to operate on MD-FiRST, I can't remember if Addison was one of them.

The Crisfield site is getting closer: the new shelter has been constructed (on 4' concrete pilings,) two new center fed antenna arrays (haven't seen this type used before on FIRST,) and a tower climber about 2/3 of the way up, lol. New rail-trail in town as well.

Weird one. I'll look through the logs. I think I've seen other weird tgs, but I just assumed they were decoding errors. the 103xxxxx SUID is also a bit unusual.

I might as well ask a dumb question and get the year off to a good start. what is an SUID?

Subscriber Unit ID, aka RID, aka UID. Saw it used in a NPSTC doc the other day, so I figured I better start using the official terminology, lol.

Hearing some testing on 12651, 12652, 12653, 12656, 15657, 12658, 12676, 12677, and 12678 today. All came from 2439459 on the GC Simulcast. Something about tac 1. It was one of these ranging from 12651 to 12657, those weren't in my alias list so I didn't get a recording. -_- I've seen in past where 1482 was on 12634 and Garrett told him he was on Tac 3, but that's not Sheriff Tac 3. I have the zones list for the non-LEO radios and there's no Tac 3. Maybe it's only on LEO radios. I wouldn't mind seeing the LEO radio layout lol. There's several Tac 1's and 2's though, such as: GR Roads Tac 1 and 2. GR PW Tac 1 and 2, GRT (Garrett Transit) Tac 1 and 2. Also have BOE TAC 1 and 2, as well as GR HD TAC 1 and 2 for the health department. No activity from any of the Roads, Public Works, Garrett Transit, HD, Board of Ed, schools, or towns yet.

Just a wild guess at this point but 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️ I mean it all lines up! I don't know. I guess I'll find out sometime when they actually use these or do more testing.
GR Roads/PW | Zone 4
S1: 12651: GR Roads Main
S2: 12652: GR Roads TAC 1
S3: 12653: GR Roads TAC 2
S5: 12656: GR PW Main
S6: 12657: GR PW TAC 1
S7: 12658: GR PW TAC 2
GC Transit | Zone 9
S1: 12676: GR GRT MAIN
S2: 12677: GR GRT TAC 1
S3: 12678: GR GRT TAC 2

I wonder where they got the funding for these Public Works radios, or recycled subscribers from state agencies?

It seems multiple police agencies from Maryland responded to the Capital today and may be still there. Anyone catch any activity on the First System from this ?

I did not see any Maryland agencies - I was on the grounds from just after the storming of the building until curfew. The Virginia State Police tactics team showed up though, along with some special unit from Arlington Fire. The rest were the usual federal police agencies, and of course the USCP and MPD. They did a good job pushing the crowd from the grounds once they decided to do so.

It's possible the Maryland units were either filling in patrol, or perhaps intel support. I just didn't see any vehicles.

Around Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, I was able to receive the Howard simulcast at around -90dBm to -105 dBm, depending on location - fringe reception. Still no FIRST antennas on the MSP tower in Rockville. The PG simulcast site was down this afternoon, as far as RF goes.

This morning driving up 16th and GA Ave I started to pick up the Maryland EMRC and the MAT PD Bay Bridge units around 0930 all the way up to Layhill and GA Ave on my APX7500. That is a first time for that to happen. Is the tower in Monkey aka montgomery county activated yet? if not does anyone know when it will be activated for good?

I saw MoCo PD units in full body armour on TV. They were coming out of unmarked vans so that might have been a reason why you didn't see them.

I was all over the grounds. Most of the tac teams showed up in rental vans or tour buses, but the Virginia State Police arrived in a procession of marked vehicles. I saw some video of the MCPD team later on the east side - I just didn't see any MCPD or MSP marked vehicles.

The Calvert Simulcast cell is also off the air. The PG Simulcast cell remains off the air and is marked as failed in UT2.
