Had a new one at 8:37 local this morning on the Washington County site -- TG 14318 with RID 2125563. That RID has been on TG 7375 MD ST PD Barrick O Hagerstown many times

Any idea if it is Clear/ENC?

Noticed an Anne Arundel radio which is in the range of Police log on 14317 yesterday but no activity on it.

I wonder if these 14317/14318 could be the new Maryland Statewide Law Zone?

Just like your post and LD's post above, logged in but no activity

US Park Police Officer tested radio on MSP Glen Burnie. RID: 1267xxx. First time hearing them on FiRST or seeing that ID range on Unitrunker.

Looks liked they were approved as interop user in June 2019 and have ~1,000 radios.

Any evidence of the Table Rock or Crisfield ASR sites being on the air yet? They were scheduled to be ready by about this time.

I'm not seeing the Table Rock ASR coming up on the neighbor site list yet. I did previously see a new site show up, but it went away when I restarted the channel and never came back. I was also having signal issues that day despite being a mile from the tower and having a clear line of site. I attached a screenshot of the new neighbor site.

Has anyone has any success in programming FiRST into a Unication?

I am looking for advice as to what sites to program as the person I am programming the Unication for travels around the entire state.
Also does one have anything documenting talkgroups roam state wide and which ones are site specific?

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I used to have FIRST divided into Zones, but now I have FIRST programmed as one system with 48 sites - with a few more sites to be added as they come online. Not sure what are the limitations of the radio, but it seems to work. As far as local and systemwide tgs, I've never had a clear understanding of which ones were strapped, regional, statewide, etc. so I can't help you with that.

Thx as long as it works.
Out of curiosity do you put every control and alternate channel or just the first alternative.

On the FIRST system, there is one primary and one alternate per site. Best practice is to program both - therefore there are 96 in my current FIRST programming: 2 for each site.

In several years of monitoring Talbot Simulcast I think I've seen it switch over to the alternate CC maybe twice, and in both cases it was only for a few minutes before reverting.

Newer systems in terms of time in service don't exhibit the failures that cause older systems to roll control channels. As the equipment gets older (or more users crowd onto the 700 band) you can expect more cch rolling. Harris systems tend to rotate control channels much more often than Motorola system that rarely change. The Smartnet systems in Calvert County and UMCP roll all the time (although this doesn't apply to Unication pagers.)
