Mass state police help

So I’m in central MA. Troop C is the state police in this area. My area is C1 but the talk group has C1, C3, C5, C7, C8, C10 . Is there anyway to listen to just C1 without having to listen to half the state? I have a Uniden BCT15x

Welcome to the forums:
According to the database they're all on the same talkgroup so the answer is no. They'd need to be on their own unique talkgroup in order to listen to just them

Program for the Trunk using Site/Zone 8 Only and Only program for the Talkgroup of C-PTL-3
that is where Barracks C-1 operated, along with C-3, C-5, C -7, C-8 and C-10

No way to only listen to that One Barrack.

East being C-PTL-1 for C-2, C-4 and C-6
West being C-PTL-3 for C-1, C-3, C-5, C-7, C-8 and C-10
C-PTL-4 is for C-9
and C-PTL-2 is the Talk-around

I have it programmed in, but more often than not I have it locked out, because most of the time they are from halfway around the state.

if you only have C-PTL-3 , they are NOT from halfway around the state, that is ONLY as listed above those C-x barracks

Sounds like you have more than just C-PTL-x in your Scan Banks

Also make sure you're in scan only mode and not search. Under search all talk groups will come through, under scan only the talk groups you have programmed will be received.

Ya but if you look at the map, troop C goes from the NH/VT border to the RI/CT border, that spans the whole state. Most of the time I’m hearing the State Police from the bottom of the state and I’m at the top.

Since there are multiple "users" sharing the same talk group then there isn't really much you can do. Monitoring that one TG is going to result in hearing all users of said TG. I don't believe that there's any way around that.
