I finally got around to updating my talkgroups and am having difficulty getting the correct TG for Matthews Police Patrol 2. The database gives the TG as 1016 but it doesnt fit the proper format. WIN95 keeps saying invalid ID. Anyone have a clue? :?:

1016 represents talkgroup 1008 with DES encryption (1008+8). When the hex value is the same, then it is the same talkgroup. It may be a typo in the database, or the "Patrol 2" talkgroup may be the same as Dispatch except with encryption forced on.

1008 is the correct I-D for the dispatch talkgroup.

Someone else recently noted that they had logged 1072 in use.

Keep in mind that MPD also has access to the town's conventional PW channel on 800 MHz.

I just confirmed 1072 as Patrol 2 for Matthews PD. It is a valid TG.
