My bride got me this for an anniversary present cause we travel a lot. I started messing about with it as we will, now I'm getting a message that says"Data Base files not found on SD Card.
Please re-install.
So just how bad did I screw the pooch here?

It's not fatal. Hopefully you have an external SD reader or an internal one in your PC. If you've installed the iScan software, you can put the card in your reader, pull down the updates menu, and select Check For Library Updates. After download it will ask you if you want to update the channels and then the SD card.

Once this is performed, you can return the SD card to the radio and the database should be available.

If the above does not fix the problem you may need to use the Scanner/SD Card pull down menu to select Prepare Scanner Memory/SD Card for use.

Thanks Dave, worked like a charm..Now I get to re-learn the rest of .. It's either not as simple as everyone claims or I'm just a techno-dolt.
The bride says I should lean towards the latter
