It looks as if McCook is trying to get a new fire & police staton built, along with a jail, calling the entire thing a "safety center".

thats not an entirely new trend, but still modern... in 94 I saw a city build a new city hall, fd, pd and jail all in the same plot of land and were interconnected, the city service's center was 2000 feet away.

Makes it easier to save gas on both parties the public and government agencies involved, plus it reduces some of the red tape.
