My understanding is they run full encryption.
Thank you for the info. I slmost spent $75 for a DMR upgrade.

Using a SDS200.Have you been up this way(Bloomingdale, Pequannock, Kinnelon, or even Hopatcong, Vernon, Rockaway Twp?) they all run DMR, listenable via scanner. Pequannock’s frequency booms the hell out too. In winter, with the trees dead, I could hear them from all over the place when I was mobile. I want to say I heard them one time well all the way down 287.
Using a SDS200.
Not sure what this has to do with McCabe...I probably should specify a bit better. My apologies.
My car setup is a 996p2(DMR upgrade obviously), on a 3DB gain UHF GMRS antenna. Does extremely well on UHF, especially in the lower frequency range(between 450-480). Its on a hood fender NMO mount.
I have Pequannock, Bloomingdale, Kinnelon, in my daily scan list (technically also Vernon, and Rockaway Township, and Hopatcong but these are not in my daily scan list) all programmed, as conventional, with just the CC, and it does surprisingly well.
I’m in Ringwood for clarification.
That damn E!If you were to use an actual DMR radio, such as a Motorola XPR, I believe the only one NOT using RAS was Rockaway. So, no go for the others without a DMR capable scanner with the upgrade. I have a Uniden 536 that works great with all, and Denville using NXDN.
As for McCabe, big E.
Not sure what this has to do with McCabe...
