You'll still have to input CC and TS. It allows backlight dimming control along with the other MD380Tools.
The firmware on almost all of the sites is outdated since the 13.xx series new vocoder firmware came out.

I'd also recommend the editor on VA3XPR's page over the stock software. You have to use the original TYT program to actually write info to the radio, but it's SO MUCH easier to enter (and copy) data.
