• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Does anyone have any frequencies for the fair, other than Baltimore County public safety?
I'll post what I hear, probably after Sunday.

I'll be going tomorrow, but I did hear Baltimore County Police using talkgroup 2256 tonight. I was able to hear Baltimore County from my location in Fredericksburg, VA thanks to some great ducting.

I'll post on-site fair frequencies when I get them tomorrow.

Here are some on-site frequencies found yesterday:

151.6250 [ d172] Primary Operations?
151.7600 [ CSQ] Food
151.9550 [ CSQ] Parking
159.8550 [ d023] unknown if used by Fair

As noted in previous post, talkgroup 2256 was used by Baltimore County Police. 1264 was used by Baltimore County Fire/EMS.

Surprisingly sparse radio traffic for a Fair so large...
