MDC1200 and something else

I've been listening to my local PD a lot, and I know MDC1200 or 600 is being used on some radios. There is that distinct "krshhhing" burst at the end of txs. However, I only hear this coming from supervisor/admin radios. Patrol has a different tone at the end. It's not the static chirp like MDC1200; it's a clearer two pitched sound like "shha-ching". What is that?

Thanks for the links. It doesn't sound like GE-star; it's a high pitched chirp that doesn't have that static quality to it. I'd try to get a recording but I'm not sure how to do it.

I think the chirp at the end may either be a roger tone from the repeater or a Kenwood tone. After more thought I think the MDC1200 comes from their HT1000 portables; the mobiles in the cruisers are Kenwoods.
