Any place around Central Indiana to get one or just have to order from the Internet?

The only place I know of I can't remember the name off hand and not sure they would have one either. You could wait another week and try the hamfest in Greenfield, you might find one pretty cheap.

Multi-site should never be on for a simulcast system unless you are driving into an area with a different CC. You never should program anything other than the control channels.

What kind of trouble does that put them in? Will they need to stop transmitting on the 6th?

Yes and No they can use the old tower sites but all the new ones would need to be shut down but I really dont think MECA would do that they would just keep operating and pay a fine if they got one or got cought heck they where using new freqs and towers with no lic before. OR they could go back to the Analog system till the lic issues where done

STAs are only good for 6 months unless they have been coordinated by the freq coordinator, I guess the FCC noted the words "pending frequency coordination" and decided to pull the plug.

The rejection letter will be on the website under the Admin tab - Letters heading, they usually show up after the midnight to 2am downtime for daily maintenance.

I've had a few of those letters, they're usually minor items, such as a frequency being available for itinerant use only, not mobile of fixed base. I can get licensed on the rejected freq just by changing the station class to match, it's still the same freq and modulation scheme.

Let's stay on topic

Fellas,

There has been quite a number of posts about MECA and the FCC; other than possible farming that data for site locations (hardly needed), the trials and tribulations of MECA and the FCC have nothing to do with the topic of this thread: MECA Digital: reception issues and solutions. Posting this information may be of interest to some; however, it is not to the point of this thread. For those of you interested in the minutiae of relationship of MECA and the FCC, start a new topic on it, thanks.

It doesn't matter - those settings have no impact on the scanner when trunking a P25 system like MECA.

This is the first time they have rotated there CC every one should check there radios make sure you have the 4 CC they use or all the freqs programed in to make sure you dont loose the system.

The 4 CC MECA SYS 1 uses these are from MECA not my self

858.1875
856.5125

856.1625
