MECA- IFD OPS 3 Fire Dispatch

Why am I hearing IFD Dispatch dispatching runs on IFD Ops 3? They should be dispatching there runs on IFD-DSP Talkgroup.Can anyone share any ideas on this? Thank You, Very Best Reguards, Tim DeLong W9NES *Monitoring all of Metro Indianapolis/Marion County and Central Indiana*

Was it the digital automated voice dispatching on ops 3 or a real live person?

Dispatch2323,This is the same automated voice that is heard on IFD-DSP.

A few times I have heard the computer dispatch on both dispatch and the ops channel that they are going to assign at the same time.

Note that the talkgroup FD-IFD3 is not the same as FD-OP3. I've occasionally seen FD-IFD3 patched with FD-DSP during some automated dispatches, but haven't figured out any rhyme or reason as to determining when this is done. The best I can figure out is that it's done on some runs that involve multiple departments. The dispatches always go out on FD-DSP in any case.

The same Dispatch that is going out on IFD-DSP is also going out on IFD OPS 3 not to be confused with IFD 3.I have had (2) Scanners on when this happens. 1 scanner is stopped on IFD Dsp and the other scanner is stopped on IFD OPS 3.
