A more likely scenario is that the system admin has regrouped that radio ID to a different talkgroup in hopes of hearing any transmission from your radio. We do that here when radios are lost and no matter what channel the radio is on, the system will only allow the radio to RX/TX on a specific talkgroup. Remote monitor can force the radio to transmit without end user intervention.
