Crossposted from ScanNE:
I've been monitoring the MEDCOMM DMR repeater in Sanford on 151.925 CC 14. Possibly it is linked to other VHF repeaters on WQYM455. I'm listening with a Connect Systems HT, which isn't as functional as a scanner, so bear with me. The radio is showing most of the traffic as Private Calls, the majority of them being "MEDCOMM, xx is out at destination". If I'm understanding correctly, MEDCOMM is a contract communications provider that ambulance companies (including Life Flight of Maine) contract out their dispatch to. Is this correct? It sounds like these are mostly transfers and not 911 transports. Does anyone have any ideas which companies work with MEDCOMM?

Northeast is mostly dispatches on that system. Lifeflight still uses there UHF channel. Medcomm also dispatch Northern Light ambulance in the Penobscot area

They are no longer on NXDN, I don't think many are. AAA uses mostly tablets now and hardly any voice comms.

MEDCOMM dispatches the following:
Lifeflight of Maine - Sometimes dispatched on the DMR System (152.995) other times they are dispatched directly to the flight medics by the dispatcher in person.
Northern Lights - Covers Penobscot, Hancock counties for EMS. (also uses 152.995, the analog patch to that channel, and the Ellsworth Patch.)
Northeast EMS - Dispatched by Knox County on Knox County Fire, Operations are on the MEDCOMM MotoTRBO system on the Camden Repeater.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
