Does anyone monitor medical evac helicopters? It is kind of interesting to hear and with summer they be busy as ever.
That is correct. Air Methods helicopters use different names in different regions. Air Methods bought Native Air a while back. In Southern Arizona, you can hear the aircraft on the Action Communications 3 trunked system. Others are conventional:Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (BREW; Opera Mini/6.0.3/27.2354; U; en) Presto/2.8.119 320X240 LG VN530)
I think Air Methods is the parent company of LifeNet and Native Air.
I have heard it many times as I've been driving all over the west valley. Using a BCT15X with a Dual Band VHF UHF 140-170 / 430-470MHz NMO Mobile Antenna mounted on the trunk. Is 464.025 receivable in the West Valley? I've had it in one of my scanners for a few days now and have not heard anything, although I do most of my listening very late at night when I go to bed.
