MedicEMS signed off last last night at midnight and the new Scott County Medic signed on. MedicEMS served Scott County from July 1982 till December 2023. The new Scott County Medic is a department of Scott County. No changes should be noticed as the activity was absorbed by Scott County. Cosmetic changes to the vehicles and uniforms. MedicEMS was setup in 1982 by the local hospitals in Scott County after disaffection of the previous service from a private contractor. It went from serving most of Davenport & Bettendorf to the full county over time.
