Let me say I have posted a question like this before but I can't find it. Every now and then I head over the Teterboro tower "such and such landing Meadowlands", which I figured out it's Meadowlands Hospital helipad for a medivac landing. My question is do ALL medivacs check into the nearest control tower when they're landing at a hospital??

If the hospital is in the tower control zone then yes, of course. Can't have uncontrolled aircraft just going where they like.

I don't know for sure but a pilot friend of mine told me that Teterboro clears a large bit of airspace for HUMC's chopper. I don't have a section chart but if Meadowlands hospital is in Teterboro's air space then the tower would want to know exactly where a medic flight is.
