I switched to Rayovac 4.0 NIMH low self-discharge and ditched the Sony 2500Mah NIMH because the self discharge was getting annoying in my 396T. The factory batts only lasted a year not bad but lousy battery life.
Out of the Rayovacs I get 12 hours from the 396T and better than 14-15 from my old PRO-92 which as everybody knows is a battery hog. Even I was shocked.
