Hello,

Have a R8600.

Have just started at looking at the memories in it.
Do I have this correct:

there re 100 memories, each of which can hold 200 frequencies ?

If so, how would one handle, e.g. importing and storing eibi ?
Not sure how many frequencies it has, but probably way more than 200.
Must they be divided up, or...?

Thanks,
Bob

The R8600 has 20 'Groups' which can store 100 memory entries - giving you a total of 2000 memory channels.

If you want more, the work around is to use an SD Card. Once all your 2000 memories are full, backup the memories to the SD Card and then delete them all from the R86 and start all over again. If you want to go back to the 2000 you've stored/backed up on to the SD Card, simply load those back into the receiver. As the file size of the backed up memories is peanuts, for example a 32GB SD Card you'd probably be looking at storing 10 million or more! With the 2000 available to you (in 20 Groups of 100) ... have you really got 2000 active frequencies you listen too??

You'd need software such as RT Systems Programming software or the official Icom Programming software for the R8600 to import from other sources ... such as 'eibi' ... what is 'eibi' anyway? never heard of it.
