Looking for frequencies for the Memphis Airshow on September 17th and 18th. I know all about the Monitoring Times 2011 Airshow guide and all of the frequency information there along with the Blue Angel frequencies so no flaming please. I can't make it on Saturday and any input from then would be great. The Air Boss frequency is good information for anyone to pass on. Here is what I have found. The sound system is being provided by Mach 1 productions according to their web site and they have VHF/UHF capability. The B2 flyover will only happen on Saturday more than likely coming from the only B2 base-Whiteman AFB in Missouri. The Red Bull performers will be well represented. If the Blue Angels stick to their past routine they will do the rehearsal flight Friday afternoon. It is good to catch if you can.

Thanks rg. I managed to make it out today also. I caught the BA solo's on 237.8 and the diamond on 284.250. I heard some what sounded like air boss calls on 123.150 so good catch on air boss. I also learned the B-2 flyover is set for Saturday at 2:10 PM local +/- 6 minutes. I never did get the F-18/Corsair air to air but I heard the F-16/F-4 on 123.150.

Millington tower is actually 120.250. Assuming that was a typo. Most of the military birds were using Millington tower's UHF freq, 340.2. I have Air Boss as 122.85. They also have a tower freq of 140.1. Blues should be using 237.8, 284.25, 250.95, 275.350, 346.5.

I've coded a wiki article to capture the freqs heard at the airshow. Feel free to add/fix whatever, and don't be shy about adding other related stuff such as any trunk system activity, FRS usage, etc...

Memphis Air Show - The RadioReference Wiki

You will now have a place to start when next year's show comes around. Be sure to list only stuff that was heard, not what 'should have been' used

best regards..Mike

There is another airshow on the 24th in Dyersburg (Halls), mostly WW-II aircraft from what I understand.
