Would anyone have any info on the high altitude frequencies for the Hot Springs and Pine Bluff area. I know the usual sites to look up the frequencies but I am trying to confirm active and up to date ones. I have seen the database here and on freqofnature, milaircomm, and microvolt's websites. Trying to nail down something solid from an avid Air Traffic listener.

Thanks

I know about the database. I was wondering if someone can confirm 2 frequencies if they are used. If you can can you please tune to 133.075 and 124.025 and see if ther are any transmissions on them . Trying to get concrete frequency since all the databases on several site seem a bit outdated

Even some of the FAA'S and NACO puyb's aren't exactly correct either. Can you at least give them a luisten to and see if anything shows up please ?

I have them plugged into the scanners but so far, not even a peep.

If the FAA and NACO sources were not completely accurate, where would the pilots get frequencies?

My opinion:

You would believe they would have to be completely accurate in order for pilots passing through an area to know where to tune. Unless Memphis Center was sending them off to something different, unlikely in my opinion, the published frequencies are the frequency bible for pilots. Memphis Center is only going to listen to certain frequencies and if someone wants to talk to Center, he better know where they are listening. Thus, the published stuff has to be 100% right or people are gonna get hurt.

Have you checked the NOTAMS for any changes?

I rather doubt that.

A discone in the clear 20 ft up on hard line isn't commonly hard of hearing. If Memphis can hear them, I should be able to hear them.

I am hearing air to air refueling in the Shirley MOA in northcentral Arkansas at an S-1 and I tightened up my S-meter. That is twice as far as Hot Springs. I'm regularly listening to 188th Tac Ftr Grp A-10's orbiting Hot Springs Village at S-2 and can hear them bird to bird in the Sugar Loaf Mountain area when they are not low altitude and maneuvering.

I should also have line of sight on high routes over Pine Bluff so that pretty much covers both areas you were asking about and commercial traffic doesnt run low power.

There is no audible traffic on 133.075 or 124.025 in this area.
