Memphis/Shelby County System Clarification

System has two sites. MPD, MFD, SCSO, SCFD are on site one, correct? Hospitals are only on site two? Right now, my 106 is programmed to scan both sites for the former agencies and it takes awhile to go through both systems. I think I should only have these programmed into site one, right? Any other vagaries in the system not noted in the database.

All Public Safety is on Site 1, Backups on Site 2. Also on the MLGW system are backups for PS, and MLGW backups on this system on Site 2.

Will be curious to see if they combine it all for the P25 switch.

Site two is for non public safety communications (ie sanitation, public works...)

If you're wanting to listen to public safety, just use site one.

There is public safety comms on site 2.

Yes there are PS comms on Site 2. That is where the backup TG's are. PS has access to that site, as well as the MLGW system.

Like I said there are public safety talkgroups on "site 2" and they are not "backup" talkgroups.
