MENTOR, Ohio -- The Mentor Fire Department received an $800,000 federal grant Wednesday to upgrade a regional radio system that will benefit police and fire departments in Lake, Geauga and Cuyahoga counties.

Excellent news. The Lake County 800 MHz system, of which Mentor is a part of, already seems to be comprehensive and well-connected. Just my observations from casual listening, and especially compared to Cuyahoga County.
