Today I checked out the Mercer County public safety trunked system on Unication G5. Constantly showed out of range and no signal bars, even well inside the county map coverage areas. I have all the info programmed correctly (or so I think) and the two control channels. Would I be better off programming all the trunked system channels in? Are there more than one main and one alternate control channel? It looks like an admin made a change "June 13, 2018, 2:14 pm (Changed Site # 001 (Simulcast) to 001 (Simulcast)) " Is that a change at all that would affect how I program?

That change should have nothing to do with the CC's. I would have to check to see what CC is active at the moment on my scanner. If in doubt, load all the simulcast channels since one can never know if they will change from primary to secondary to something else.

I created in the Unication software a setup using all 13 frequencies for the Mercer County Trunked system. Tested it today and still no activity. Get out of range prompts. Using RFIS 0, system 1. System ID and WAN correct. Nothing at all. I tired at first using just control channels and it didn't work, hence adding all frequencies. Is RR database correct?

I think they rotate all channels as the CC so you may need to put all of them in. I found the same thing happens to me from time to time. Might also have to check to see if they added any new channels to the simulcast.

I had the same problem when I initially set my G5 up. This is how I have mine set up and it works perfectly:
WACN: 926B9
System ID: 582
RFIS: 1
Site: 1
Full Spectrum: disabled
Control Channels: 500.4500 and 500.750 (those are the only two control channels used, nothing new had been added).

Yup RFSS should be listed as 1 not 0 in the DB,that’s what’s causing the pager to go out of range.

On the system page click submit at the top and request them to change it to 1. I’m sure one of the DB admins will see these posts also.
