A motorcycle driver was killed at 10:12 p.m. Saturday on the Interstate-70 Business Loop after allegedly driving through a red light and hitting a sport-utility vehicle.
Colorado State Trooper Trent Hischke said the eastbound motorcycle tried to run a red light and hit an SUV traveling west, which was making a left turn onto 30 Road.
The motorcycle driver died at the scene, Hischke said, but the SUV driver suffered abrasions. There were no passengers in the SUV.
The name of the motorcycle driver was unavailable Saturday night.
State troopers closed the eastbound lanes of I-70B after the accident, diverting traffic south onto 30 Road. The lanes remained closed at 11:40 p.m.
