I put some of this data in the Unknown TG thread but thought I would start a new thread as it looks like these will come active pretty soon.
So far we have a confirmed 8430 being Mesa County MAC. This has been used and in testing for about a year now.
I have logged TGs
8431
8432
8433
8436
8439
and 8453
being affiliated and some test keyups by radios known to be Mesa County Sheriffs officers.
Hopefully those of us in the Mesa County area will be able to start identifying uses on these pretty soon.

Am going to be heading that way in a couple of weeks and was wondering if you have a file from there I can put in my scanner? Thanks

My file for the Pro 96 is woefully out of date as for the last 6 months or so it has only been monitoring the local towers with Pro96com, and I don't think the BC996T file will do you much good!
One of the other locals that use their scanners for listening might be able to help you more.

Here on the Western slope though the towers are not so busy that you can't just scan the control channels in open mode and be able to catch most of the traffic. Saying that , the fly in the ointment is Garfield County and their encrypted talkgroups.

I would just do control channel scan on sites:
201 Grand Mesa
212 Whitewater
222 Black Ridge
& 260 Mesa Point
for the DTRS traffic.
155.490 MCSO
155.595 GJPD
154.445 GJFD "A"
154.400 GJFD "B"
and go through the RR database for anything else you may be interested in. This should give you about 99% of the traffic in the valley though

The same deputies that have been using 8430 Mesa MAC are now using 8432 and just IDing it as DTRS so far. A SWAG would put this as MCSO SO TAC but that is worth the electrons used to put forward the idea :)

Hey they're finally getting around to it. What a fight we are having here back east in Shelton, CT just to release some 470s for the pd and fd.

Peace and Happy Holidays guys. How's the weather out there.
