Mesquite TG 432 is getting quite a workout today. Perhaps it is hurricane evac related. If somebody that way can give it listen, maybe we can peg its use and name.

I'll throw it in my 396 & see what it sounds like. I know that Mesquite is running a "reception" facility for hurricane evacuees. Buses & individuals are directed to go there first. Then, they are provided the name, & directions to, whatever facility will best accommodate their needs. Had there been a bigger influx, the Mesquite group would have also played traffic managers. directing people to the shelters with space avalable, so that there was not the overcrowding that occurred with the larger numbers fleeing Katrina.
I know they were using Memorial Stadium for this purpose over the last couple of days. Perhaps 432 is a EOC-type talkgroup??
Could be, or a ultra rarely used "special events" talkgroup.That ID# is just below the lowest posted (numerically/DEC) PD group.
One of the DPD traffic elements was asking for a "triple 9" to assist over the weekend, wasn't happy when he we informed they were helping with directing the evacuees. I understand they had some of the message boards set to direct them to the Mesquite site.
