Does anybody know if 44.58, used by the BNSF/MeteorComm can also be monitored via E-2 skip, or is it meteor scatter only??

It will be readable by whatever mechanism propagates signal from the transmitter to your receiver without excessive distortion.

The data bursts are easily monitored during band openings. I have never heard them via meteor scatter but I don't have the equipment for that. There is an active group on 6 meters using meteor scatter (Warrington Amateur Radio Club Rigs ~ WJST").
