I've been listening to the Arapahoe County Impact Team (and, I presume, other agencies) work on this (in the clear) since I got my scanner in December.

They've been quieter as of the past several days, so now I know why. Much of it was also not all that far from my house.

Stuff like this, you need to keep to yourself... Loose lips sink ships. Keep what you hear to your self, less you ruin it for others.

Agencies do monitor these forums. If they see you running your mouth about listening to their gang/drug units running operations in the clear... They may just decide to go to encrypted comms... Enjoy what you hear, but keep it to your self.

Interesting that the people commenting aren't even local, as far as I can tell.

Anyway, fine, I took time to cool down before posting this reply - obviously I don't understand why there is even a "incidents/breaking news" subforum with feelings like this, when I waited until after things went down, didn't post details other than "Impact Team" that were widely reported, you name it.

I'll just stop posting here, and please delete this post, mods.

Simply because a post saying 'accident at A Ave and B Street, traffic shut down in all directions. Is very different than telling everyone the drug/gang unit is doing UC work, unencrypted, in your hood.

Meh. Just do not post about a UC operation happening in the clear. Enjoy it and keep that kind of stuff to your self.

Even if a forum moderator decided to delete the post, unfortunately the horse has already left the barn.

I tried monitoring my local sheriff and HP for sometime. Then I realized what they do isn't all that important to me. So I decided screw them, and now I just stick to monitoring Fire/Ems where the real action is going on...
