Pike Electric (a power contractor for Cobb EMC and Georgia Power) still has spring-loaded low-band antennas on most of their vehicles, even their new pickups so the frequencies must still be in use? Does anybody have any recent hits? FCC records show a lot of different registrations but can someone narrow it down? These may be used for mostly mobile to mobile use but the listening should be interesting in the coming weeks during inclement weather. I do remember there was a base transmitter listing on Sweat Mountain but maybe I'm not using a long enough antenna.

I had one of the Pike folks come in my store a few weeks back and I asked him if they use their radios. He said they did, but most of their talking is done on their phones.

Same with Cobb EMC. Most of their traffic is on Nextel. Very little traffic on the 900MHz EDACS system.

You're right Casey, mobile to mobile. Not much traffic.

Here's what I have for them and I've heard them on two of these (although I can't remember which two). They do have a low band base antenna at their location in Walton County.
