Yes - NOAA announced this as part of their move from Taunton to Norton
Last week during the No-Storm the NWS forecasts were from Gray Maine and the River Forecasts were thru Albany

Surprised it has taken this long to get the NOAA Radios back up

Similarly, we're curious about why it's taking this long as well - why would a move cause this sort of downtime, when you can move part of the office at a time?

It never surprises me when the government, at any level, takes longer than expected to get something completed.

We used to always joke that the city would get something replaced in "two weeks." That joke predated the start of my career in 1978 and was still going strong in 2012 when I retired.

Also remember that there is nothing more permanent than a temporary anything in the government. One of my former co workers started in 1959. He was told he'd be on the night shift "temporarily." He retired at the end of 2008. Still on the night shift.

We heard 162.475 intermittently, and checking today, looks like it is working continuously now.
