Metro Davidson: No Code3 Tones

Has anyone noticed that metro dispatch (police and fire) are no longer using tones for code 3. It seems that I'm not receiving Code 3 dispatch calls on my scanner. Has anyone else noticed this or know if new talk channels have been added? I have also noticed PD dispatch have used the term "mission 1" in lieu of code three. Just curious.

They are working out if their backup facility. They don't have tone capability at that site. They state before each emergency call "stand by for emergency traffic".

As for the mission 1 statement, they are referring to special ops of "saturation" of crime ridden areas on weekends. Those can be found on the TGID channels of P114 and P113 on Friday and Saturdays. I still hear PD give response codes of 1, 2 and 3 they just don't sound the tones until they get back into the main communications center.
