Any idea when the trains will finally go to the Falls? I know they are still working on the new station in Hamilton near Confederation Park. I wonder how far east towards the Falls does the West Simulcast goes? Confederation Station is opening this year and I am guessing will be covered by the West Simulcast but they are also opening a station in Grimsby in 2021 so I am guessing that would be covered by the new Niagara tower.

I lived about 2 blocks from the West Harbour Station in Hamilton.. I did see something recently about they where going to be adding more rush hour trains soon. Right now there is only 2 in the morning going out to Union and 2 coming in the afternoon from Union. Such a waste, it's been sitting there literally 95% of the time unused and been like that since 2015. I know it's still a bunch of years away from getting all day service this way and towards the Falls.

Hi, the weekend GO train does run from May long weekend to the Labour Day long weekend (open to corrections on this one). There is also currently one commuter that runs from Niagara falls to Toronto Union Station every weekday morning (train 704) and one evening return (train 481)

Good that Metrolinx is starting to head in the right direction. Hopefully they have the trains stop off here in Hamilton too. It's a pity that the station here is so under utilized.
I don't think we are getting all day service this way until 2023 or something in that area which is a pity. I would absolutely be all being able to walk to the GO station and take a train into downtown Toronto or down to the Falls instead of driving it.

Matt,

The morning weekday commuter starts and first stop is Niagara Falls-St Catharines-West Harbour-Aldershot-Union Station and vice versa in the evening.

I dont have my schedule on me but I believe on top of that train, there are 2 other trains that start their run at West Harbour. There are usually 2 trains laid over at Mc Neilly layover.

I live in the core and can take Burlington Transit to Burlington GO in 20 min and it's just about an hour from there to Toronto Union.

The 1 & 101 is increasing service to every 20 min and they will also go now along Fairview to Appleby GO.

I'm seriously considering giving my car to my (separated) wife and using this transit formula to go to work.

I guess if you live further east and north of me then the James St station is a better option. It's a bit of a hike uphill from there to my place.
