Evening,

Just got my MFJ-941E Tuner from Universal Radio.

Since I am using a 450 ohm ladder line, I do need the built in 4:1 balun. I don't quite get what the manual says, to me it says to give one conductor of the ladder line to the Balanced Line left binding post and then run it down to the WIRE binding post. And then, connect the other center conductor to the right Balanced Line post.

Am I totally wrong? How should this be done to run to the 4:1 balun using balanced wire?

Thank you!

To use balanced feed line, connect the jumper wire as described.

Be a little more specific :)

Do I connect the jumper to the left AND right post, or just the left, or just the right?

Or, does one wire goto the ground wire? I am totally unsure of this

Thanks Doc!

So, connect the jumper to both wires, or just one?

Also, Both conductors go on the top 2, correct?

Take a picture of yours if you are able, it'd be a lot easier! Thanks!

The directions don't explain it too good.

I agree it does not explain correctely the dotted line connects all three post thus confusing for us who only have a poor iq of 160 or so, 3 connectors for 2 wires and a line connecting them all and poor instructions.

i have one sat waiting to wire up too.

any photos please

Connect the wire antenna post to ONE of the balanced line post ONLY. Connect your feed line to the two balanced line posts. Do NOT short the two balanced line posts together.

MFJ has an issue with writing clear directions, seems like they always have.
