MFJ Questions

I ran across a couple of MFJ products and I'd like to find out if anyone A. knows of them, B. uses or have used them.

MFJ-1701 six antenna switch

MFJ-1700C six receiver, six antenna switch

Given, they're more for the transmistting side or use (outbound), but I'm curious if they could be used for receiving (inbound).

(The 1700C is quite intriguing.)


edit: And why in the world can't more mfr.s make switches with BNC ports instead of SO-239 or/and N???

Those are designed primarily for HF (up to 30MHz). They would introduce a lot of loss if connected to a scanner, especially in the 800MHz band.

That's what I suspected. Didn't see or find any good spec.s on frequencies passed.
